Description
This photograph is from Julia Clay and Geppe Monrós’ project Abandoned?.
This Chinese restaurant and resort on the outskirts of the city of Aartselaar had been abandoned since a fire gutted much of the main buildings. Besides a restaurant and hotel it included an animal and botanical park in extensive grounds.
Julia visited here in 2010 during the the ‘Abandoned? Project’ journey.
