Description

Johanniter Sorge sanatorium was originally built as a lung sanatorium in 1898. It was then used as a TB clinic until the 1950s. From 1968 it was used as a sanatorium for the NVA border troops and after reunification, the German Armed Forces used it recreationally. It was returned to the church in 1992 and since 2000 it has been left empty.

Julia visited here in 2010 during the Abandoned? Project journey. It is hidden deep in a forest on the old East-West Germany border.
